Building business relationships
This month, we had the privilege of participating in a key event in Europe: the Big Travel Trade Event in Belfast, the largest B2B meeting in the tourism sector in Northern Ireland, organized by NI Travel News.
500 travel agents and tourism industry suppliers met for two consecutive days to establish market contacts, hold meetings, strengthen business relationships, and have fun.
Representing Spring Hotels, Jo Robinson, our Chief Sales Officer, and Pam Bryans, Business Developer for Ireland, were key suppliers at the event.
Over two days, attendees took part in themed breakfasts and lunches, speed networking sessions, and exclusive presentations. The agenda featured memorable highlights such as:
- Speed Networking sessions with over 20 suppliers, including a special coffee and Spanish tapas break organized by PortAventura World.
- A western-themed lunch hosted by Travel Solutions and Aer Lingus, featuring food, a line dancing class, and prizes, showcasing the playful spirit of the event.
- The lively Supplier Marketplace, which included more than 50 exhibitors, a dedicated space for Gran Canaria, and fun activities like mini golf and even axe throwing, courtesy of Attraction World — winners of the Best Stand award.
- Talks and panels on the future of tourism, artificial intelligence, and trends in the luxury travel segment, moderated by industry experts.
After all the hard work, it was time for fun at the final themed evening sponsored by Jet2Holidays — the “Battle of the Bands.” Travel agents and suppliers dressed up as their favorite music artists, there was plenty of dancing and musical performances to rival Glastonbury.
Our participation in this event allowed us to connect with industry partners, discover new business opportunities, and stay up to date with the latest travel trends.
